Nursery services have resumed at St. Andrew's!
Our Nursery Ministry has resumed at St. Andrew’s! As things “get back to normal” here on the hill, we recognize the need for our Sunday morning child care during Mass to begin again. We would like to have the Nursery available for families, but we need loving and caring Nursery volunteers to help us out.
Please consider giving of your time and talent in this very worthwhile ministry!
Per Diocesan guidelines, adults who volunteer with youth under the age of 18 need to be VIRTUS trained.
Our goal is to provide childcare services for children (infants through pre-school) during the 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Sunday Masses each week. We also hope to be able to provide childcare during other parish functions as requested. Our Parish Nursery is located in the lower level of the Parish Center, across from Classroom 2/3.
In order to fill this need, we are looking for volunteers to take turns manning the Nursery. Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age, must work in teams of at least two and must be VIRTUS certified in accordance with the Diocese of Richmond's commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for children, young people and vulnerable individuals. Learn more about VIRTUS sessions HERE.
If each parent would be willing to volunteer, the responsibility could be shared and the load would be lightened. What a great way to meet other families with young children and build relationships that could last a lifetime! Please consider sharing your time with our children by signing up to be a Nursery Volunteer!
